INDCO’s stainless steel PhG-series Tri-Clamp mount gear-drive mixers with external mechanical seals are suitable for sanitary mixing applications up to 10,000 litres. Designed for the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries, the gear-driven design with 3 in. mixing blades agitates large volumes of low viscosity materials with minimal shear or can be configured for smaller volumes of more viscous materials, the company says.
The external dry-running mechanical seal is rated full vacuum to 200 psi and features EPDM USP Class VI elastomers.
The model PhG-100T3 mixer features a 1 hp, 230/460 V, 3-phase stainless steel Baldor motor coupled with a 10:1 ratio stainless steel gearbox.
Output speed is 175 rpm. The mixer shaft is 1-½ in. diameter by 72 in. long with welded and polished 22 in., 3-blade hydrofoil impeller.
The seal housing, mounting flange and wetted parts are constructed of 316 stainless steel with a #4 buffed mirror finish. Surface finishes as fine as 15Ra are available.
