Antaira Technologies has expanded its wireless communication portfolio with the introduction of the ARS-7235-5E-AC dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN access point with added router capabilities and five gigabit Ethernet ports.

Available from Davis Controls, the ARS-7235-5E-AC product is designed to address the high-throughput requirements of dense industrial applications and supports a net data rate of up to 867 Mbp with 2×2 MIMO communication.

It is embedded with the Qualcomm IPQ4029 SoC chipset so it can concurrently operate on both the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands, plus is backwards-compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n deployments to maximize existing wireless investments.

Five gigabit Ethernet ports enable connectivity to laptops, PCs and other wired devices. In addition, it can operate in different modes, which makes it suitable for a wide variety of wireless applications including long-distance deployments.

The unit is engineered to deliver reliability in harsh environments with a wide operating temperature of -35°C to 70°C, an IP30 metal housing, and its industrial-grade resistance to shock, vibration, power surges, and EMI.
