Cameron Instruments has announced that mobile gas measuring and gas warning devices from the Sewerin EX-TEC PM 5xx series make the everyday work of gas fitters, maintenance staff and other technical staff easier.

Series units can be used to locate leaks in freely accessible gas pipes, assess the risk of explosion and determine whether toxic gases are within the occupational exposure limits (OEL).

The series is a CSA approved explosion proof device with IP65 rating and a 2.5 in. display that is said to be easily read in every environment.

The devices are equipped with audible and visual pre-alarms and main alarms when gas concentrations are dangerous. Users can access all the device functions via the 4-key control panel.

The gas measuring and gas warning device can detect up to five different gases when fitted with all options including for warning — CH4, CO2, CO, H2S & O2.

Thanks to its modular design, users can tailor the device features to their specific application, the company says.
