The Sonic-Pro MS6 ultrasonic chemical feed flow meter from Blue-White Industries is said to be an innovative addition to flow meter offerings in the water and wastewater treatment industries.
The Sonic-Pro MS6 flow meter uses transit time ultrasonic technology to offer a broad flow range. It has measurable flowrates down to 10 milliliters per minute (0.15 gallons per hour) and up to 10,000 milliliters per minute (158.5 gallons per hour).
The flow meter features include a 4 to 20 mA output, frequency output, and high and low flow setpoints that can be utilized for no flow alarms. In addition, the flow meter has numerous system warning functions such as, air bubble or empty pipe problems which are crucial to operations.
The unit communicates problems with the SCADA control system. With PVDF and PEEK wetted components, NSF 61 approval, and the necessary features to accurately monitor chemical dosing, the flow meter is also said a good fit for drinking water applications.
